Palm Sunday Rally for Refugees

As usual on Palm Sunday Humanists will be joining the Walk for JUSTICE FOR REFUGEES, which starts at the State Library, Melbourne, and is organized to be Covid-safe. Speakers this year will include Julian Burnside AO (Australian Humanist of the Year 2009). The marchers are calling for –

• Release of ALL refugees from detention;
• Permanent visas for ALL refugees;
• An end to offshore processing;
• Basic income support for people in the community while their refugee status is assessed.
