Conservation in a rapidly changing world: accelerating the evolution of our habitats

Dr Rebecca Spindler earned her PhD on marsupial reproduction at the University of Melbourne. She expanded her conservation work at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, also studying the giant panda in China. Then, after a period improving the health and reproduction of jaguars in the Americas, she returned to the Taronga Park zoo in Sydney, as manager of research and conservation. She currently heads a multidisciplinary team in Science and Conservation at Bush Heritage, a non-profit organization.
