I’d like to learn more about the society. I was interested in the piece in the Age about volunteers needed for teaching philosophy as an alternative to RE in primary schools.

Left it very late (90 years of age). Originally from Belgium. Can I still join? I will probably not be of great use to the HSV. I am doing this a tribute, and in memory of a great human being who died many years ago, and was a humanist.. I am an atheist..
    Kind regards,
    Willy Ruffner.

  5. Hello,
I am surprised to see that no Humanist society exist in Tasmania. I am sure it is a concern for other Australian societies, what are your thoughts about this.

Greetings from San Francisco. I write to let you know that the famous evangelist Ravi Zacharias will be visiting your country next week. Mr. Zacharias is facing a scandal in the United States over false claims he has made (and recently retracted in part) about his academic credentials.

My investigation is summarized in this short video clip. Please contact me for more information if you so desire.

We feel it is imperative that freethinkers and active secular people be made aware of this scandal and take some action to confront Mr. Zacharias and/or his sponsors about the conduct.

Mr. Zacharias will be at the following venues:

August 22 Mr. Zacharias will be at City Life Church at the Knox Campus in Melbourne.

On August 28 he will speak at the Hillsong Church in Brisbane.

If there are other folks you think I should notify about this, could you kindly so advise?

Thank you for your work to keep the world thinking straight.
